A Wonderful Few Gigs, Inspirational Music and Looking Ahead to Christmas

It’s been a brilliant few gigs since I last checked in, with some lovely events, great people and plenty of music! Here’s a little look at what I’ve been up to recently.
Performing at the National Charity Today Awards
I was delighted to be invited back to perform at the National Charity Today Awards, which was a brilliant event celebrating the incredible work of organisations and the people behind them who are making a real difference in their sectors.

Having performed at this event before, it was a real privilege to be asked back. I provided live music for the drinks reception before performing during the awards ceremony itself.
For the ceremony, I chose a few songs that mean a lot to me personally and that I felt would bring a little inspiration to the occasion. These included You've Got a Friend by Carole King, The Climb by Miley Cyrus, and a ukulele performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World, inspired by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole.

I always enjoy choosing music that feels right for the occasion, and these songs felt particularly fitting for an event celebrating people who are doing such meaningful work. It was lovely to be part of such a positive day, surrounded by some truly inspiring people.
A Brilliant 40th Birthday with Bethany Jane and Bro
Next up was a fantastic 40th birthday party with my duo act, Bethany Jane and Bro!

We performed a mixture of our acoustic and electric sets, giving the evening a lovely progression from relaxed live music through to a much livelier party atmosphere. With a brilliant crowd, plenty of dancing and the DJ taking over to finish the night, it was such a fun event from start to finish.

One of the things I love about performing at parties is being able to adapt the music to the atmosphere and the people in the room. Every event has its own personality, and when the crowd is up for it, it makes performing even more enjoyable!
It was a great night, and we loved being part of the celebrations.
I also had the pleasure of performing at a lovely corporate event in Cambridge, providing live music for the drinks reception as guests arrived. The building itself was beautiful, and I always love being part of those first moments of an event, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and set the tone for the occasion.
Taking a Little Time to Recharge Before Christmas

After a busy run of performances, I'm looking forward to taking a little time off towards the end of October and into November.
It's always important to give yourself a chance to recharge, and for me, that means taking a short break and giving my voice a bit of rest before the next busy period begins.
Christmas is already looking very busy with bookings, which I'm really excited about! It's such a lovely time of year to perform, with festive celebrations, parties and events bringing a whole different atmosphere to live music.
For now, though, I'm going to enjoy a little downtime before the festive season gets underway.
Thank you, as always, to everyone who has booked me, come along to an event or supported my music. I'll be back with more updates soon!
Bethany x
